The opening hole, although relatively short in yardage, generally plays much longer as the green is significantly elevated. It is a slight dog-leg from left to right with significant trouble if you miss the fairway to the right
Pro's TipThe green is very narrow from front to back so the best play is to leave a full shot for your approach to give you the best possible chance of holding the green.

The fairway on the 2nd hole slopes severely from left to right so it requires a precision tee shot that is shaped from right to left in order to hit and hold the fairway. There is out of bounds to the left that runs the full length of the hole so the best miss is always to the right where there is a little bit of room.
Pro's TipThe approach to the green generally plays a club longer than the yardage as it is significantly uphill.

A similar shape of hole to the 2nd, although not as severe, the tee shot at the 3rd requires a right to left tee shot to hold the fairway. The further the tee shot the narrower the fairway gets.
Pro's TipThere is a large bunker that protects the front right of the elevated green, so the best approach is to keep the second shot to the left as the lie of the land will feed the ball onto the green.

The first par 3 of the round has a significant drop in elevation from the tee box to the green. This means that it generally plays two clubs shorter than its yardage. There is out of bounds that lines the entire left side of the hole and a significant number of trees to the right
Pro's TipThe best miss is to keep it short as the hole gets narrower the longer that you go.

The first par 5 of the round is also the longest hole on the golf course. It generally plays slightly shorter than its yardage as the second shot is downhill slightly and the hole generally plays with a following wind. There are two large fairway bunkers on the left side of the fairway that must be avoided and a strategically placed bunker that comes into play on the lay up.
Pro's TipThe approach to the green needs to kept short and to the right of the green as the ball will feed onto the green.

Hole 6 is a long par 4 that generally plays into the wind. The fairway is protected by a large bunker on the right side which requires an accurate tee shot up the left side to avoid it or a long tee shot to carry it. The hole slightly dog legs from left to right and the fairway slopes in that direct to.
Pro's TipThe approach to the green is quite a tricky one to hold the green and it requires a shot that is played short left of the green and it will feed onto the putting surface.

The shortest hole on the course is played significantly downhill which makes it play a club shorter than the yardage.
Pro's TipDon’t be fooled by this relatively easy looking hole, because if you miss the green here it is a very difficult hole to get up and down in two, as the green is elevated at the back and contains lots of subtle slopes.

The 8th hole slopes gently from right to left, with a large bunker on the right side of the fairway. The choice is either lay up short and accept a longer second shot to a small elevated green that is guarded by a large bunker on the left, or you can choose to try and carry the bunker from the tee.
Pro's TipBe aware the fairway gets narrower and the slope from right to left is more pronounced beyond the bunker.

The 9th Hole is a left to right dogleg. The tee shot requires the player to make a strategic choice, they can either choose to play short and straight or try and either shape the tee shot around the corner or try and go over the corner.
Pro's TipWith out of bounds running down the entire left side of the hole, any mis-calculation on the tee shot could end of catching the left side of the fairway which feeds everything towards the out of bounds.

An excellent short par 3 which features a green guarded by a large bunker short and to the right. Any pin placement behind the bunker can be tricky as this hole normally plays down-wind and the green can be difficult to hold
Pro's TipThere is another bunker and out of bounds to the left of the green which adds to the difficulty.

Our signature hole, the 11th is the start of our version of ‘Amen Corner’ a tricky stretch of 3 beautiful, but deadly holes that can ruin many a good score. The 11th is a 90 degree dogleg from right to left. From the back tees it requires a tee shot of around 240/250 yards in order to get to the corner of the dogleg, at this point there are numerous trees guarding the left side of the fairway and a pond on the right side. The bigger hitters could choose to take their tee shots over the corner but the dangers of this are not carrying the vast number of trees on the left or failing to hold the vary narrow strip of fairway and ending up in the trees on the right.
Pro's TipThe green is guarded by two larges bunkers left and right and it slopes significantly from back to front so the best tip is to keep your approach shots under the hole.

The 12th is regarded by many as the hardest hole on the course. It is the longest par 4 (from the white/yellow tees, it is a par 5 from the red’s) although it does play from an elevated tee. The fairway is quite generous in width but there is a ditch that runs diagonally across the fairway at a distance of about 160 yards from the green, so for the longer hitters they may need to consider their club selection from the tee box. Both sides of the fairway are protected by trees, with the right side being the more punishing.
Pro's TipThe best approach to the green is to keep it slightly short and to the left, but be aware of the bunker on the left waiting to gather up an errant shot.

The 13th hole is a fantastic strategic par 5. Although very short by modern standards there are numerous tee box options which can significantly alter the difficulty of the tee shot. The tee shot requires a left to right shape as the hole dog legs slightly. There is out of bounds to the left and trees on the right. The best position to be in to attack the green in 2, is from the right side of the fairway, but too far right is blocked out by a large tree 150 yards from the green. The lay up shot is protected by large trees left and right and large bunker 90 yards short of the green. The out of bounds on the left continues down the entire length of the hole.
Pro's TipThe front of the green is slightly elevated so any approach shot the is slightly short will fall off the front of the green.

The 14th hole is a difficult par 4 with out of bounds running down the left side of the hole. It generally plays into the wind which adds to its length and difficulty. There is a large bunker at around 230 yards from the tee which must be avoided.
Pro's TipThe green is small, elevated and very difficult to hold, adding to that is the fact that green is tucked right up against the out of bounds fence on the left side.

The 15th hole is a relatively short and very straight hole. The fairway gets narrower, and the hole gets tighter the closer you get to the green. There isn’t really a good side to miss on as there are an abundance of trees both left and right, hitting a driver is a gamble that if it pays off will leave a relatively short and simple approach.
Pro's TipThe putting surface is one of the flattest on the course but is quite well guarded by bunkers short, left and back right.

The 16th Hole is very underrated in its difficulty. It generally plays into a wind direction that is into and off the left which means any tee shots leaking to the right generally ends up in one of the 3 bunkers that guard the right side of the green.
Pro's TipAny tee shot finishing right of those bunkers will end up on a severe downslope leaving an extremely difficult chip. Left of the green isn’t much easier though as the green is elevated on the left side.

The 17th Hole dog leg’s from right to left and is a tricky driving hole. There are numerous large trees that guard the left side of the fairway making any tee shot that finishes left very difficult to advance to the green. The right side of the fairway is also very well protected. The green is a two-tier green that slopes heavily from front to back.
Pro's TipAny approach that is short will drop back off the front of the green, but please be aware that any ball that finishes past the flag will leave an incredibly difficult two putt.

The finishing hole has the unique feature of a large tree set right in the middle of the fairway that will cause problems for just about every length of tee shot. The key here is to pick which side of the fairway that you want to be on because (unfortunately) down the middle is no good on 18. However because both sides of the fairway are heavily protected by trees, the margin for error is very small.
Pro's TipThe green is guarded by a large deep bunker to the left and approach shots that are a bit left tend to end up further left as everything around the green falls off to the left. You definitely want to keep your approach shot up the right hand side.
